ChatterCert Marketplace
Safety and reporting
The marketplace only works if both sides can trust it. These are the rules everyone agrees to, the things listings may never do, and what happens when you report a concern.
Code of conduct
Candidates and agencies both agree to:
- communicate professionally;
- protect creator, fan, and account data;
- avoid harassment, coercion, discrimination, and retaliation;
- state compensation and schedule honestly;
- never exchange login credentials through ChatterCert;
- report material changes or safety concerns; and
- comply with applicable platform rules and local law.
What job listings may never do
These are hard rules. A listing that does any of the following is removed:
- Charge you money. No application, training, equipment, deposit, or placement fees — ever. Legitimate employers pay you, not the other way around.
- Ask for credentials or client secrets. No passwords, creator logins, fan data, or account credentials, through any channel.
- Demand unpaid production work. A short skills check may be unpaid only if it takes 30 minutes or less and creates no usable work product. Anything longer, and any live account work, must be paid and disclosed in the listing.
- Make guaranteed-income or misleading earning claims.
- Include explicit images, sample chats, or personally identifiable CRM screenshots.
- Request illegal activity or platform-policy violations.
- Discriminate on protected characteristics.
- Conceal compensation or materially change it after candidates apply.
- Send candidates to unreviewed external forms that collect sensitive information.
- Recruit for an undisclosed third party.
How to report
Every job, agency profile, candidate profile, and active application has a report action. Sign in, describe what happened, and pick the closest category. Reports are never shown publicly while investigated, and the subject of a report is never told who filed it.
Staff may temporarily pause a job, invitations, contact reveals, talent search, or an entire account while investigating — always using the narrowest safe intervention.
Response-time targets
| Severity | Examples | Initial response target |
|---|---|---|
| Critical | Credential theft, threats, extortion, sexual exploitation, doxxing | Same day |
| High | Nonpayment allegation, harassment, requests for passwords or data | 1 business day |
| Standard | Misleading listing, spam, unprofessional conduct | 3 business days |
Appeals
If we take action against your account or listing, you will always receive:
- the policy category violated;
- whether the action is temporary or permanent;
- what functionality is affected; and
- one appeal channel.
Appeals are reviewed by a staff member who was not part of the original decision. We never expose the reporting party’s identity during an appeal.
