ChatterCert Marketplace

How verification works

The marketplace makes two different trust claims — one about candidates, one about agencies. They mean different things, and we never blur them. This page states both claims exactly.

The candidate claim

Marketplace Verified

This candidate controls the ChatterCert account shown and currently holds at least one live ChatterCert credential.

That is the whole claim. Candidate cards show the actual qualifying credentials — title, level, earned date, current status, and course version — pulled live from ChatterCert records. A “Multi-certified” label may appear when two or more credentials are currently valid, but it never implies superiority for a role that requires only one specific tool.

The marketplace never exposes exam scores, question-level results, failed attempts, billing history, or private support history. If a candidate’s last valid credential lapses, they are warned immediately, existing applications are preserved, and their profile leaves search until eligibility returns.

The agency claim

ChatterCert Verified Agency

ChatterCert Verified Agency
Identity and operating practices reviewed by ChatterCert on the date shown. Verification is not a guarantee of future payment or employment conditions. Report a concern.

Every agency badge carries this explainer, including the review date. Agency verification is a documented manual review, not a purchase.

What we review before an agency is verified

A staff reviewer must establish six things:

  1. Identity — the organization and its accountable operator appear to exist.
  2. Operational evidence — the agency is actively operating, not collecting candidate data speculatively.
  3. Payment clarity — normal pay terms and cadence are documented.
  4. Hiring quality — no applicant fees, credential sharing, deceptive earning claims, or unpaid production work.
  5. Reputation — references and available evidence do not reveal unresolved material issues.
  6. Accountability — ChatterCert has a responsive contact for complaints.

Evidence is accepted as a flexible combination — business registration, an established web presence, CRM workspace evidence, worker and creator references, or a trusted referral — because many legitimate agencies do not have a conventional corporate stack. Sensitive evidence is stored privately, is never shown to candidates, and is deleted under our retention policy after the review window.

Verification expires

Agency verification expires after 12 months, or earlier if ownership materially changes. Agencies also self-attest every six months that their compensation and hiring practices remain accurate. An expired badge is not shown.
